12+ 1 Page Game Design Document Background. It's a simple 1 page pdf with the aspects i consider most important when coming up with a new game concept. More recently, arguments against the game design document have begun to surface.
It is a record of all decisions made by the lead designer or the team, used for reference whenever there is a question about how the game is to work.
